The closure events of the Twinning project took place in Bacau on the 28^th and 29^th of july of 2009,  with the participation on behalf of Spain of Mr. Aureliano García and Mr. Domingo Pérez.

The first day, in hotel Decebal, a closure conference was held, with representatives from NEPA, REPA, IB SOP Environment, LEPAs, NEG of the Region 1 North-east, the University of Bacau and local NGOs, apart from the spanish representatives, the romanian Project Leader, Mr. Iulian Movila, and the RTA and his counterpart, Mrs. Mihaela Ambăruş. All the participants expressed their complete satisfaction with the project, which has fulfilled all its objectives and benchmarks, providing a tailored, practical training, to more than 1100 romanian beneficiaries in the last year and a half. The results of the Twinning were presented by the RTA, and also information was provided on the new collaborations which have been established or are under development now, by the spanish experts and by the rector of the University of Bacau.

The second day was dedicated to planify the remaining tasks to be done until the end of the project and to discuss with the romanian Project Leader the steps to take to present a common LIFE+ project on home composting which will include the participation of local administrations and public authorities from Galicia and from the Region North-east of Romania.
