The first Steering Committee reviewing the progress of the project in the first 3 months of execution and discussing the next steps to take on the following quarter took place the 20^th june 2008 in Bacau, counting with the presence of the spanish and romanian Project Leaders, and the dutch Coordinator, as well as of a representative from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.

The opportunity was taken as well to hold two meetings with regional institutions, to promote the links between the regions and countries involved in this Twinning at all levels, for a common sustainable development:

-          With the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bacau, Dr. Doru Simovici, discussing on possibilities for partnerships between spanish, dutch and romanian firms, specially in the environmental sector.

With the Rector of the University of Bacau, prof. Valentin Nedeff, discussing about the establishment of colaboration with Universities in Galicia and with the Technological and Environmental Platforms to whom these Universities belong.
