The second Steering Committee was celebrated in Bucharest, the 19^th september 2008, in the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MESD).

Special mention must be made of the participation of Mrs. Nicoleta Chiriac, General Director of the Directorate General for Soil, Subsoil and Waste Management of the MESD, and several representatives from this Directorate General, who took this opportunity to meet the main responsibles of the project and to know in depth the activities developed and programmed, specially in the focus area of domestic waste management.

The possibility to develop pilot projects on home composting was commented by the romanian Project Leader. The RTA provided the representatives of MESD  as well with copies of the seminars programme of the Twinning, inviting them to comment and suggest subjects of their interest or which could be treated in Bucharest, receiving a positive answer from Mrs. Chiriac.
